Joyce Trudeau

Joyce Trudeau grew up in the northern Twin Cities metro area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of South Dakota. After living in rural areas for four years, she decided to return to the Twin Cities, where she earned her Juris Doctorate and was part of the first graduating class from the newly formed Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

During law school, Joyce volunteered with the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault. She also worked as a certified student attorney for the Minnesota Appellate Public Defender’s Office, where she represented individuals who had been convicted of felony offenses with various post-conviction issues.

Upon graduating law school, Joyce started her legal career representing individuals applying for Social Security Disability benefits and Supplemental Security Income at an advocacy firm in Minnesota. Working in such a field taught her the value of remaining understanding and empathetic while guiding people through the difficult complexities of the legal process.

Joyce is passionate about helping the disabled community, which is what lead her to join the Fields Law team, where she practices Long Term Disability and Social Security Disability cases.

Ms. Trudeau is licensed to practice in the Minnesota State Courts and United States District Courts for the District of Minnesota.

When not working, Joyce enjoys biking, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
